In recent years, most likely because of the colorful costumes, food and traditions it is also becoming a popular holiday to celebrate in the United States. This has been one of my favorite holidays because it is a positive way to celebrate the lives of the family and friends who have died. The celebrations last from October 31 – November 2.ĭay of the Dead is celebrated by the Latin American countries, Dia de los Muertos is also celebrated in many regions in the United States, Brazil and the Philippines. Los Dias de los Muertos (the Days of the Dead) is a fiesta to honor and celebrate loved ones who have died. What is Dia de Los Muertos?
